Programming Your Lock
Thank you for purchasing your Headrest Safe. Our simple, yet secure, lock provides three ways to open; biometrics (thumb or fingerprint, keypad or hard key).
Above the opening knob is the serial number for your lock. This serial number is used to register your Headrest Safe. The serial number is needed for warranty issues and a replacement key, should one be needed.
For best results, we recommend that you remove the lock from the housing for programming.
The lock is programmed at the factory for any fingerprint to open. You must program the lock for your specific fingerprint(s) as noted below.
Programming the Biometrics

Programming the Biometrics
• Set Master Fingerprint (only used for programming the lock, not opening the lock) HINT: Do not use your thumb for the master fingerprint. Your thumb will work better as your user fingerprint. Use your finger and make sure to place it at a 90⁰ angle
• Press ‘OK’, 2, ‘OK’
• Input 4321 and press ‘OK’
• Place desired master fingerprint on biometric
• Lift finger after beep and place down again quickly for a total of 10 times
• You will hear a long beep on 10th time and lock will turn ‘green’ confirming it was programmed
• Press ‘OK’
• Press ‘OK’, 2, ‘OK’
• Input 4321 and press ‘OK’
• Place desired master fingerprint on biometric
• Lift finger after beep and place down again quickly for a total of 10 times
• You will hear a long beep on 10th time and lock will turn ‘green’ confirming it was programmed
• Press ‘OK’
Setup User Fingerprint
• Place master fingerprint once on biometric
• Lift and place finger a second time
• Place the fingerprint to be used to open the lock on the biometric
• Lift finger after beep and place down again quickly for a total of 10 times
• You will hear a long beep on 10th time and lock will turn ‘green’ confirming it was programmed
• Press ‘OK’
• Lift and place finger a second time
• Place the fingerprint to be used to open the lock on the biometric
• Lift finger after beep and place down again quickly for a total of 10 times
• You will hear a long beep on 10th time and lock will turn ‘green’ confirming it was programmed
• Press ‘OK’
Programming the Key Pad
• You can program a new 4-to-8-digit combination
• Press ‘OK’, 1, ‘OK’ and the lock will beep
• Input 4321 (default password) and press ‘OK’
• Input your new code and press ‘OK’
• Input your new code and press ‘OK’. Yes, do this twice
• Press ‘OK’, 1, ‘OK’ and the lock will beep
• Input 4321 (default password) and press ‘OK’
• Input your new code and press ‘OK’
• Input your new code and press ‘OK’. Yes, do this twice
To open the lock, input your new code, press ‘OK’. Listen for a long beep and ‘click’, then turn the knob to the left.
Access the Key Opening
Using the long, thin rod attached to your keys, loosen the screw on the bottom of the lock until the cap slips off.
Using the USB-Micro port
Above the serial number is a compartment to access the USB-Micro port. This is used to supply power to the lock if your battery has died and you cannot find your keys. This does not recharge the battery. To access the port, press on the right side of the compartment, the left side will pop up, and then, press firmly on the left side in an upwards direction to completely open the compartment. Make sure to have a USB Micro cable with a length of at least 3 feet
Resetting the Lock
In order to reset the lock, you must remove the lock from the safe, then remove the lock from the mounting bracket. Use the long, thin rod attached to your keys and insert into the reset button on the back of the lock until you hear a long beep.
